What Our Fees Are About

  1. Minimum Charge  (one hour/one electrician) : This is the same as saying "one hour minimum". This charge is necessary to cover mobilization time, vehicle/safety expenses, tool depreciation etc. This is industry standard and you will not find any contractor not following this practice.
  2. Journeyperson Rate (after the first hour) : An excellent rate in the current market for the knowledge and skills of our Red Seal certified Journeypersons and Master Electricians.
  3. Second Electrician : A reduced fee for a secondary electrician deemed by us to be required. Often this will actually save a client money as a task can be completed faster.
  4. Administrative Rate : A reduced fee for time attached to office related duties, driving, and material procurement. We are proud to provide this non-standard pricing model.
  5. Material Markup : Another industry standard practice. A big picture concept that highlights electricians are required to keep up to date on the material we install. We know what to buy and from where. We research ongoing quality control issues, changes in technology and procurement concerns. We spend time and fuel doing this regularly.
  6. Electrical Permit : An electrical installation permit is something electricians are  legally bound to secure in most cases. We do not markup this cost in any way and we will supply you with copies should you request them.  Either way, permits will always be on record with the local authority.
